We aim to create a passion for filmmaking across the nation and assist in nurturing film and video production potential as well as recognise the verified range of excellence already present.

COVID -19

Covid has had a major impact on all our lives across the globe, the impact has spanned across health, commerce, and education. It has altered the way we interact with our friends and families and has shaped our future for the unforeseeable future.

Covid has had a major impact on all our lives across the globe, the impact has spanned across health, commerce, and education. It has altered the way we interact with our friends and families and has shaped our future for the foreseeable future.

The film productions entered into the competition must reflect on society at large and how individual human beings around the world have utilised technology and science to help deal with the new conditions set by the pandemic.

These issues or subject the films could deal with include:

Social interaction and social distancing

Family interactions via technology

New technology and science made popular due to pandemic

Technology bubbles and digital safe havens

Whatever your direction, the competition has been designed to encourage young people to think about the impact of the pandemic and how it has altered how human beings interact with technology and science.

coaching and training for teachers

Junior Filmmakers will host a training day introducing schools and supporting staff to all the production knowledge they will need, allowing  them to support and direct students until film completion.

We will also offer mentorship and guidance to trainers throughout the process.

industry related catergories

We have designed our categories to allow students to think about aspects in film production that are valued by the sector in regards to future education and employment.

INCLUSIVE AWARD CEREMONY

Regardless of who wins we want to celebrate all the films entered and credit all students who take part in the competition allowing them to grow creatively and pursue further education within the sector.

lets have fun

Film production is a collaborative process and we want to encourage young people to have fun throughout the process and enjoy the process of making a film. It is through laughter and play we all learn the most.
