COMPETITION OUTLINE

Running from January 2022 to May 2022, the Junior Filmmakers Film Competition for Schools will work with schools across the UK to make films which will be then entered into the competition.

During this time, children will learn filmmaking skills techniques which will include: 

 

Story Development • Scriptwriting • Storyboarding • Crewing • Casting

• Camera Techniques • Filming • Editing.

Films produced will be entered into the competition and judged by industry professionals. 

All the films produced by the students will be screened at a day long film festival in London followed by an Award Ceremony in the evening.

Registration is open to all primary and secondary schools in the UK.

 

Films will be categorised as primary and secondary schools and will compete within their category.

Schools will have to recruit film leads from within their schools to liaise with Junior Filmmakers who will provide training, mentorship, and support throughout the programme. Equipment will be available to borrow from Junior Filmmakers if required.
